Standard Cremation - Cremation of a pet with no ashes returned. Ashes are spread or buried so your pet remains in the greater circle of life.
Private Cremation - Cremation of the pet individually so that ashes may be returned to the owner.
We are happy to provide ink nose or pawprints for your family whether or not you choose to cremate. These keepsakes help us to keep our loved ones forever. It does not have to be a paw, either! Duck feet, hooves, or claws can make beautiful impressions, too. Up to three ink prints are free. Additional are $1 each. Clay prints are $35.
A painted or ink ($35) copy of your pet or trophy fish. A fish print! *This does not work well on round-bodied fish like some types of goldfish such as Black Moore, Ryukin, Ranchu, etc. (Parrotfish depicted)
Horns from a goat, cow, or sheep returned to you. $50 for small and $100 for large or curled (longhorn, ram)
There is no wrong way to memorialize your pet. We can provide locks of fur, feathers, manes, or horse tails. If there is something that would help your grieving process, we are happy to listen and advise if it is within our skill set and refer you to another organization if not.
Determining a cause of death can be crucial to providing closure. We cannot diagnose, however, we can point out visible abnormalities and provide pictures that can be given to your veterinarian. If you intend to send samples for testing, please have your veterinarian perform the necropsy.
In the case of entire flock culls for poultry, contagious or diseased carcasses, or hunting waste disposal, our standard rates are $1/lb with a $25 minimum.

Dealing with the loss of a pet is painful and overwhelming. Often, we have not thought of what we want to do with our pet's remains after they are gone. There are many options, whether you want to keep a piece of your pet or not. If you are uncomfortable keeping ashes, an ink pawprint or clay paw print might be better. A lock of hair can help us remember the softness of their coat and how they comforted us, too. Please call and we can help you find the right fit for their memorial and your family.
Because water evaporates during cremation, only 3-7% of body weight is left in an ash form depending on body composition. For example, a cat may only produce a few ounces while a 50 pound dog might produce around 2 pounds of ash. A horse could produce 30-60 pounds of ash so this is important to keep in mind when searching for urns or containers. A standard container will be provided in all cases.
Silver Bell will bury any and all ash. This is part of Indiana law and also helps rose bushes and other plants to grow, ensuring your pet remains in the greater circle of life.
Of course! Any requested service will be performed before cremation. These can be mailed to you or you can wait while they are completed at drop off.
